What This Product Does

The CSV‑1584 is a portable USB‑C® docking station designed to expand a single USB‑C® port into video output, USB data, Ethernet networking, and power delivery.

It uses DisplayPort™ 1.4 Alternate Mode and supports:

  • A single external display up to 8K@30Hz (DSC), or
  • Two external displays at 4K@60Hz simultaneously

The dock also supports USB data transfer, Gigabit Ethernet, and USB‑C® Power Delivery up to 100 W.

Important Compatibility Notice

Display resolution, refresh rate, bandwidth, and the number of supported displays are limited by the host system, its graphics controller, USB‑C® implementation, and operating system.

The docking station does not override host system limitations.

If the host supports DP 1.4 Alternate Mode, output can reach up to 8K@30Hz (DSC).
If the host supports DP 1.2 Alternate Mode only, maximum output is limited to 4K@30Hz.

The final output resolution, refresh rate, and pixel format depend on both the host system and connected display.

Power and Charging Behavior

  • External USB‑C® power is required when using power‑hungry devices
  • The USB‑C® PD port supports up to 100 W power input
  • Power delivery to the host depends on connected devices and available power headroom

When connecting USB‑C® displays, ensure a power adapter with sufficient capacity is connected.

Connection Instructions

  1. Connect the USB‑C® host cable to the USB‑C® port of the host system.
  2. Connect displays to the HDMI™ and/or USB‑C® video ports.
  3. Connect USB devices and Ethernet cable as required.
  4. If charging the host or powering USB‑C® displays, connect a suitable USB‑C® power adapter to the PD port.

It is recommended to connect devices one at a time to observe proper detection and operation.

Supported Display Resolutions

  • Maximum output up to 8K@30Hz (DSC) or 4K@60Hz, depending on source signal
  • Dual‑display operation up to 2 × 4K@60Hz, subject to host system support
